Dr Willmott graduated from Manchester Medical School in 1995. He undertook further training in Australia before returning to the UK where he was appointed Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine, for East Cheshire NHS Trust in 2007.

Dr Willmott is the lead Consultant in Anaesthesia and Critical Medical Care at BMI The Alexandra Hospital and has worked with Mr Anselm Agwunobi for over 10 years. He has safely anaesthetised and cared for hundreds of bariatric, upper gastrointestinal and general surgical cases during this time where his specialist interests lie in bariatric anaesthesia, colorectal surgery and Intensive Care Medicine.
